perinatality.

preventing premature birth
protecting the premature baby.

Three level 3 perinatal centres


The maternity wards and departments of neonatology of Port Royal - Hôpital Cochin, the Robert Debré Hospital
and the Centre Hospitalier Intercommunal (CHIC) de Créteil.
2 000 medical staff work for the PremUp foundation.

An excellent pole of research


Nearly 100 researchers representing 12 areas of academic research are increasing our knowledge of:
The influence of the maternal environment on placental function, foetal growth and the prospects for the child.
The physiopathology of premature delivery and cerebral and pulmonary lesions in the premature baby.
Research into predictive biomarkers and the development of new tools of medical imaging.
Research into treatment to prevent premature delivery.
Pharmacological protection of the brain and lungs of the premature new-born.

An indispensable teaching pole


Every year 1000 hours of academic and practical instruction in perinatality are offered in the Faculties of Medicine, Science,
and Pharmacy, in the School of Midwifery and within the framework of continuing medical training.
